Faith

Faith

We Believe

  • God created man in His own image to have intimate fellowship with Him, but man sinned and lost the ability to enter into God’s presence. God became man in Jesus of Nazareth and through His death and resurrection brought about the restoration of the intimate fellowship God intended for us to have with Him. Through the blood of Jesus and our confession of faith that He is the risen Lord of all, we can receive the Holy Spirit on the inside of our being and become sons of God. Through our adoption as sons we have become heirs of God’s kingdom, co-heirs with Christ. (Gen 1:26,27; Gen. 3; John 17:3; John 1:12,13; 1 Cor. 6:19; Rom. 8:14-17)
  • God’s intention for the church in the earth is to bring the body of Christ into full maturity, even into the likeness of Christ Himself, through the mandate of the fivefold ministry stewarding the body.  When the church is brought into this maturity and is revealing God’s glory to the earth, Christ will return to receive His glorious bride. (Eph. 4:9-16; Rom. 8:18-25, 2 Cor. 11:2, 1 Thess. 4:16,17)
  • God desires that the body would be a community living in perfect love and unity, even as Jesus and the Father love each other and are in unity. When the church truly exudes this love, the world will know that we have been discipled by Jesus. (John 17:20-23; John 13:35)
  • Because of the justification brought through Christ’s blood, every believer has a heavenly mandate to be a priest of the Most High God; not as an earthly position, but rather an invitation to minister daily before the presence of God. (Exodus 19:6; Rev. 5:9,10; Heb. 10:19-23)
  • God’s desire for corporate worship is to make His presence known among His people, so that the whole world may see His glory in the church. Worship is a lifestyle of sacrifice and communion with the Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Ghost. (1 Kings 8:10,11; Isa. 11:9; Rom. 12:1; Phil 1:2; John 1:1, Titus 2:13; 1 Cor. 1:9; John 17:3; 2 Cor. 13:14)
  • We become disciples of Christ through community, having the Word of God as our foundation for entering into relationship with Him.  The Holy Bible is the only authoritative written Word of God. (Acts 2:42-47; Rom. 10:17; Matt. 7:24)

jared & Wendy Scroggins

SENIOR LEADERS

Jared and Wendy are a husband and wife team who serve as the Senior Leaders of The Tabernacle. Together, they share a passion to build community as well as lead and minister to others through the love of the Father. Both in ministry and in business, these two co-labor with one another embracing destiny and looking for every opportunity to advance His kingdom.

Since 2007, Jared has been a part of founding and leading multiple student and young adult ministries.  In October of 2014, Jared co-founded and launched The Tabernacle.  He currently co-pastors the young congregation with the desire to lead others to personally encounter a deeper intimacy with the Father.

GARY & LEEANN WILHELMI

SENIOR LEADERS (FREEDOM, DELIVERANCE, AND INNER-HEALING)

Both Gary and Leeann, another husband and wife team, have thrived in the ministries carved out for them by the Father. They have ministered over the years in various countries and across the nation. Together, they minister daily in the mid-cities (DFW) area to our Tabernacle family as well as to individuals from all over the metroplex and beyond, seeking personal freedom and deliverance ministry. The number of healings and freedom miracles that have flowed through them is too numerous to count. We love them and consider ourselves blessed beyond measure to have them at The Tabernacle.

Teaching

The Tabernacle has a dynamic culture of preaching the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and sharing truths that are commonly missed by the traditional church. We believe that Gods kingdom is to be lived out right now in our life and that we are to operate as sons not slaves. The truths you will hear, will challenge you and empower you to start  living the life that God has always meant for you to live.

Worship

If you come to the tabernacle you will immediately be immersed in our history of worship. Our church was birthed out of a movement of people seeking the presence of the Lord together through prayer and worship and this legacy is still one of our core foundations. We believe that through powerful and intimate  encounters with the Father, our identity will be revealed and further brought to light.
